The Medical Assisting Associates Degree program will prepare students in front and back office medical skills needed to be a successful Medical Assistant.  The major areas covered are clinical, diagnostic, and emergency procedures; medical office administration; and communication.  Upon completion of this program , students should be able to perform medical administrative tasks, including appropriate communication in the medical setting; perform clinical, laboratory, and emergency procedures within the medical assisting scope of practice; apply principles of infection control, asepsis, and sterilization techniques within OSHA guidelines; identify drug classifications and calculate dosage; medical billing and coding; and demonstrate competence with HIPPA standards.  (Program Length: 4 Semesters Minimum)

$350.00 per semester hour
Registration Fee: $100 one-time
Technology Fee: $50.00 per semester hour

Books, Tools and Supplies
Required books, tools and supplies are provided to students at an additional charge.  A Training Binder containing the program curriculum is checked-out to students upon enrollment and students check-in the Training Binder at program completion.  There is an additional fee for any Training Binder that is lost or damaged at program completion.
